The
Royal Institute of British Architects is holding its annual
Stakeholders Forum on the afternoon of Tuesday 27 October and the theme is
Web 2.0.
Accordingly, organiser Clare Sinclair is keen to demonstrate how what used to be a conventional half-day conference can be turned into a more interactive event, and is inviting people to
participate before during and after the event
via social media. And in the first collaboration between Be2camp and an industry membership organisation, the
Be2camp website will be one of the focal points for the event.
Some familiar faces from Be2camp and the AEC 'Blogosphere' and 'Twitterati' will be speaking at the event; there will be live-Tweets and a CoverItLive live-blog, hopefully accompanied by a stream of other user-generated content (hashtag is
#RIBAforum09); and we will be provide live feedback from the internet to participants in the Wren Room at RIBA HQ.
So: put a note in your diary:
Tuesday afternoon, 27 October 2009. Read the #RIBAforum09 Tweets; watch the CoverItLive stream; reTweet interesting snippets; ask questions; add information....
Whether or not you are an architect, this is your chance to show RIBA people that
social media is all about people having conversations online and that it is highly relevant to industry professionals working in today's architecture and construction-related sectors.
